I'm a pharmacist:
I love being an integral member of the healthcare team. Much like other fields of study, the best outcomes are found when there is a symbiotic relationship between disciplines. As a pharmacotherapy specialist, my role is to support my team to improve patient outcomes and the health of my region through accurate and current drug information. I’m a teacher: I enjoy teaching pharmacy students and residents. My goal for learners is to help them become competent pharmacists with a passion for patient care. I'm a student: My students, residents, and colleagues are constantly teaching me, showing me new ways of thinking, challenging me to stay up-to-date with literature (new technologies), and fueling my passion for lifelong learning. I'm a servant leader: No one is perfect, and everyone makes mistakes--including myself. That's why I believe self-reflection is important to hold myself accountable for my performance. My promise to my students, residents, and colleagues is to be tenacious and invest the time to educate myself. |
